Students Registering for Brit Lit (ENGL 2322)
If completed through UT OnRamps please read below. UT transcripts are not updated with Spring grades until mid-June. Please confirm with UT that Spring grades have been posted before sending transcript.
From ACC: Austin Community College's English Department requires the course prerequisites of ACC ENGL 1301 and ENGL 1302 with a grade of C or higher in each. If you've participated in UT OnRamps this past year, then you'll need to send me your official UT Austin transcript so that I can verify your earned grades for RHE 306 and RHE 309J.
Go to the UT ONRamps website to learn about ordering transcripts: https://onramps.utexas.edu/what-we-offer/distance-ed/students/enrollment/ .
You have the option of paying for third party access to have me view your official UT transcript through the transcript portal or you can go pick up a transcript in person or order to have it sent to your home and then scan it to me.
Whatever method that you choose, your official UT Austin transcript needs to come directly to me at marilee.walker@austincc.edu so that I can quickly verify your course prerequisites and apply a manual override on your ACC account allowing you to register for ACC Brit Lit (if you're eligible). Therefore, choose the quickest method since the fall semester is approaching very quickly.
Please note that sending your official UT transcript directly to ACC Admissions will result in a delay and you will not be able to register for ENGL 2323.
Again, please send your official UT transcript to me at marilee.walker@austincc.edu to verify that you're eligible to take ACC ENGL 2323 British Literature. Please make sure that your official final grades for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 have been posted. If you order the transcript before your spring grades have been posted, then you'll be required to order another one when both fall and spring grades are listed. Thank you!
