Meet Ms. Weese!

My name is Lauren Weese and this is my 18th year at Cowan Elementary! This will be my 5th year in the library and I could not love it more! Before the library, I taught first grade for 11 years. I've also taught kindergarten and pre-k.

I graduated from Texas A&M and am a proud Aggie! Gig 'Em! I got my Masters in Library Science from Texas Woman's University and am also a certified dyslexia therapist.

I have two amazing kiddos - Lyla and Carter. (Lyla is 3 and Carter is 1, so they're not at Cowan yet but they will be soon!)

I love reading (obviously!), cooking, and traveling the world. Some of my favorite places are Hawaii, Greece, and Spain!

I am passionate about literacy and igniting a love of reading, learning, and discovery in our students. I look forward to working together to encourage our young readers. I can't wait to see you in the library!
