These services are provided to students at their home campus or at an RDSPD cluster site location at a daily or weekly frequency from a certified teacher of the deaf.
Educational needs for these students can be addressed via inclusion, push-in, pull-out, co-teach, resource, or self-contained services as based on student evaluation and individual education plan.
Students receiving direct services are also eligible to have the teacher of the deaf work with their teams and provide the campus with information, guidance, and support related to the child's hearing loss, support with hearing assistive technology and equipment, as well as provide training and strategies to support students in the classroom.
Examples of direct services include:
weekly itinerant services
push in/pull out services by a teacher of the deaf
co-teach from a teacher of the deaf
resource support by a teacher of the deaf
self-contained instruction by a teacher of the deaf

Educational needs for these students are met at their home campus by teachers and support team members, however the teacher of the deaf can provide the campus with information, guidance, and support related to the child's hearing loss, support with hearing assistive technology and equipment, as well as provide training and strategies to support students in the classroom.
Examples of indirect/consult services include:
in-service/trainings for campus staff
support for accommodations and materials for students to use during instruction
attendance at a staffing/ARD meeting
conducting communication assessments and taking language samples
classroom observations
