PPfT Alignment:

The PPfT is a multi-measure system that includes Instructional Practice, or teacher observations, that are scored on the PPfT Instructional Practice Rubric. The rubric outlines five strands of effective instructional practice. The five strands are Practice & Interactions, Standards & Alignment, Assessment & Feedback, Routines & Procedures, and Classroom Climate & Culture. Click the PPfT strands below or use the navigation at the top to find instructional strategies.

The AISD Instructional Playbook provides teachers with research-based strategies that can be easily implemented on a daily basis. These strategies are directly aligned to the PPfT Instructional Practice Rubric that supports effective teaching and learning. Each of the strands and indicators lists a description and strategies/resources.

The strategies listed are just some of the ways expectations might be applied in a teacher's classroom. This is not a checklist or reflective of the only possible examples/strategies.  This playbook should not be used in place of the PPfT Instructional Practice Rubric.
