In addition to the print books and other physical resources available in their campus libraries, all Austin ISD students have access to digital resources for reading, research, and discovery. Students can access a variety of resources depending on their level (elementary, middle, or high school) as listed below. These digital resources are available from school and home at any time, including weekends and breaks.
Austin ISD students and staff can access the digital resources listed below, as well as thousands of ebooks and digital audiobooks, through MackinVIA, our digital resources hub. Simply click the MackinVIA tile in the student or staff AISD Portal and you will be automatically logged in to your school's VIA account. Once in MackinVIA, you can access the resources listed below without needing a password - just click "Digital Resources" on the sidebar menu. The free MackinVIA app is also available on most devices; to log in to the app, students can select their campus to be directed to the Austin ISD portal login where they can use their district login.
To access the resources listed below without going through MackinVIA, students and their families can contact the student's campus library for additional information.
See below for a list of resources available to students at each level. Please note that this list only includes digital resources which are provided through the Library Media Department; this is not a comprehensive list of all digital resources used by Austin ISD.
