Academic Experience:

Associate Dean

Direct the Faculty Center for Learning Innovation (FCLI), a faculty community that champions innovative learning through collaboration, support, engagement, development, and connection. Develop programs of faculty-centered learning opportunities to assist faculty with developing, implementing, and analyzing teaching improvement and innovation techniques.

Department Chair

Provide servant leadership to the faculty and staff of the Geographic Information Systems and Geospatial Engineering Departments by overseeing departmental procedures, schedules, budget, compliance, committees, hiring, and support.

Piloted a Hybrid Flexible (HyFlex) course delivery approach across two departments and two campuses at Austin Community College. ACC defines HyFlex as a face-to-face, synchronous course section that allows students to select whether to attend virtually or in person on any given class day. Both the GIS and GE departments have taught face-to-face classes using this modality since the Fall of 2021.

Delivered 11 HyFlex workshops to over 100 cross-discipline faculty at ACC. This training was designed as a supportive cohort focused on applying effective practices for implementing the HyFlex course delivery approach, including technology demonstrations.
