This course is a survey of research methods and psychodynamic, humanistic, cognitive, trait, and behavioral personality theories. This course includes special topics such as personality testing, anxiety, self-control, and defense mechanisms. The study of psychology and human development is ever-evolving and limitless. It is the study of who we are, where we have been, and how we can continue to flourish. Through this course, the student will be able to demonstrate an understanding of representative theories, findings, and/or principles concerning the following topics:

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Critique personality theories and analyze the underlying theoretical constructs.
Apply personality theories to real-life situations.
