College Preparatory Teacher Training / Virtual training module

Welcome to HB5 Teaching College Preparatory Class Virtual Training Module.

College Prep Course training will be in two parts this year.  

1. The first part is this online course/module that you need to complete before August 29, 2025.  

2. The second part of College Prep training will be a live  or virtual (TBD) conference with your ACC Department representative.  

   1. 1. The dates of these virtual conferences are currently being scheduled and you will be notified via email of the date.  

This training contains 2 modules:

• English Teacher Module 

• Math Teacher Module

You will only be responsible to review the module for the classes you are teaching. 

At the conclusion of this self-paced course, you will be able to:

• Report student achievement as directed by ACC

• Understand the goal of the College Prep Courses

• Use evidence-based instructional strategies to create a course that fulfills the HB5 and ACC partnership requirements

• Participate in a supportive professional community

You will find module assessments and activities that allow you to better demonstrate knowledge of the content at the end of each module. 

Each module will have an assessment. 

This course will take approximately 1 hour to complete.

How to Complete this Training

To receive credit for this training, you must complete the module discussions and final assessment with a score of 70% for each one. You may retake the assessment multiple times to achieve this score. 

Upon completion of the assessments, please allow up to 5 business days for the instructor to review your work and notify you of your successful course completion.
