Calavera Painting at El Centro

ACC's Latin American Culture Center invites you to paint a calavera in remembrance of a loved one! El Centro will provide assorted ceramic calaveras and painting supplies.

Altares y Ofrendas: Day of the Dead Altar Workshop 

Highland Campus 1:30-2:30pm

Join Ascender in bringing this beautiful tradition of altar-making to life! Let's honor our loved ones who have passed away and create something truly meaningful together. Please submit a photo to be displayed in our campus altar. 

Dr. Candi Cann will share excerpts from her extensive research on death and dying to help us connect the relevance with cultural celebrations and death rituals. She will speak about Día de Los Muertos, Qing Ming, Chuseok and Native American indigenous traditions to honor the start of Native American Heritage Month.

Day of the Dead Storytelling : Sharing Our Ancestors' Stories  Online  12-1pm

Cantos Y Calacas: A Day of Poetry and Día de los Muertos Artistry at Highland Campus  12-2pm

This is an opportunity for ACC Students, Faculty, and Staff to celebrate and honor the rich cultural tradition of Día de los Muertos with poetry, art, prizes, a free Mexican street corn bar, and more!
