ACC Foundation
The ACC Foundation offers hundreds of scholarships. You only need to submit one application to be considered, although some scholarships may require submission of additional information.
The Foundation also provides a webpage with outside scholarships that are available to ACC students from private businesses, churches, civic groups, and clubs.
ACC's Money Management Office often holds workshops to help students search for and apply for scholarships.
You can also join the Student Life club called The Scholarship Society, which aims to help students with their applications for scholarships. Visit the Student Life website and search for the club to join it.

Jack Kent Cook Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship
The Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship is a highly selective scholarship for the nation’s top community college students seeking to complete their bachelor’s degrees at four-year colleges or universities. Each Cooke Scholar has access to generous financial support (up to $55,000 per year) for two to three years, college planning support, ongoing advising, and the opportunity to connect with the thriving community of fellow Scholars.
An ACC student, Amber T, was awarded a Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship to start Fall 2024! She was one of 60 students nationwide (out of more than 1700 applicants) to be awarded this competitive prize. You can read her story here: Amber

NOAA Undergraduate Scholarships
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) offers scholarships for undergraduate students majoring in many disciplines related to their missions.
NOAA mission disciplines include atmospheric science, biology, chemistry, computer science, education, engineering, environmental science, geodesy, geography, marine science, mathematics, meteorology, oceanography, physical science, physics, etc.

NOAA's EPP/MSI Undergraduate Scholarship Program
NOAA's José E. Serrano Educational Partnership Program with Minority Serving Institutions (EPP/MSI)
The EPP/MSI Undergraduate Scholarship provides funds for two years of undergraduate study to rising junior undergraduate students majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields that directly support NOAA's mission. Participants conduct research at a NOAA facility during two paid summer internships. Since 2001, 219 students have completed the program and over 75% go on to graduate school.

Austin Geological Society Scholarship
The AGS Dennis Trombatore Memorial Scholarship awards a scholarship of $500 to cover books, tuition or fees at ACC or a transfer college/university.
Applications open in the Fall semesters, and scholarships are awarded in the Spring semesters. Contact me for more information.
Geological Society of America Expanding Representation in Geosciences Scholarship
The goal of GSA’s Expanding Representation in Geosciences (ERG) Scholarship is to foster the success of diverse students and to encourage their persistence in GSA as Members, role models, and future leaders in the geosciences.
