This team was prepared & already in place prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, & we were able to take our experience to create the full program that is now Online Advising at ACC.

Program Expansion: In response to community calls for more nurses with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, we started a BSN program at ACC in 2017 & it quickly became a hybrid program through the pandemic. This seminar includes why we needed it, how we got it passed through the Texas Legislature, how we created our classes online in a QM template, & how we got working nurses engaged in online learning. In addition, the Professional Nursing Department at ACC has now expanded their Associate Degree Nursing Program to include an accelerated, hybrid format which we lovingly call the ANT program (Accelerated Nursing Track). Details on getting this up & going & lessons learned from both programs will be discussed.
