The Composition & Literary Studies Department offers a limited number of in-house, department-sponsored workshops each year. CLS faculty members may receive professional development hours for attendance and are encouraged to come collaborate with colleagues in a relaxed symposium-like environment. Bio: Emily Kyung Jin Suh earned her PhD in Education Studies with a concentration in Language, Literacy, and Culture from the University of Nebraska. Dr. Suh is an Associate Professor of Graduate Program in Postsecondary Student Success in Learning, Literacy, and Mathematics. She also serves as Coordinator of English, Language Arts, Reading (and integrated reading and writing program) within the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Texas State University.

The LAHC Pathways Discovery Session will allow ACC students to connect with LAHC departments and explore possibilities within the division and with a liberal arts degree.
The event will feature a kick-off enveloping session followed by individual department-led activities and tabling. The CLS Department will have its own designated space to run CLS's programming for the event. CLS's programming will be oriented toward attracting new majors, providing advising, and community building.
