By the end of this lab you should be able to… 

1. Describe the modern classification of eukaryotes into 4 supergroups.

2. Identify the major clades of each supergroup.

3. Identify selected features of organisms from each clade.

4. Recognize specific examples of organisms in each clade by sight.

5. Identify vectors of several parasitic protists.

6. Describe the life cycle of Plasmodium falciparum (the organism that causes malaria).
