In this orientation, you'll learn what you service-learning is, what you need to do to prepare for your experience, what to expect during your service, tips on reflecting on the experience in class, and ways to share what you've learned and make the most of this unique opportunity!

Wonderful experience!
It was very engaging and I learned a lot.
This course and project helped me understand that even though people can be fallible they are still capable of showing genius care for others if they listen with an open heart rather than their preconceived judgment of someone they just met.
I was impressed by classmates’ project deliverables.
I liked that it got me outside of my comfort zone, and expanded my awareness of the needs of our community.
I liked all of it, even the written reflections. They made me think about the bigger issues that immigrants face when coming to the US.
I really hope ACC continues to pair up with the IACT program because it offered a great chance at not only networking, but also at giving students a chance to experience such a unique conversation with some amazing people.
I liked getting to work with my classmates and put all of our different thoughts and ideas into the project.
I actually liked the group project we did.
