I'm Mrs. Temple, and I am the Austin Achieve High School Art teacher!Â
This is my 9th year at AAPS, and my 4th year at the high school level. As a developing artist myself, I believe that the artistic process is equally as important as our finished products. In class, we approach the artistic process knowing we will encounter successes, problem solving, road blocks, and beautiful mistakes along the way. We celebrate ourselves, our community, and our histories through original, expressive artworks. Throughout the year, we practice to master artistic various techniques with 2D & 3D media.
Types of Art you can find in the Studio:
Pencil Drawing
Charcoal Drawing
Pen & Ink Drawing
Oil & Chalk Pastel Drawing
Acrylic Painting
Watercolor Painting
Multimedia Works
3D Plaster
Our '22-'23 Advanced Artists recently competed in this year's Visual Arts Scholastic Event (V.A.S.E.) for Region 13S in San Antonio!
All artists presented artwork to a judge and discussed artistic processes, inspirations, and their use of problem solving. These scholars did an amazing job representing our Austin Achieve Art Department!
