Friday Writing Assignment

Write one evidence paragraph. Begin with a claim - any claim you wish to make about one or more of the documents we have studied this week. Perhaps "In both England and the United States freedom of speech was considered a key to a strong democracy" or "In England the effort was to control the king, but in the U.S. the effort was to keep the central government weak." Or even "A very important part of the XXXX document is...." Then, support your claim with two details from one or more of the four documents we have studied. You can quote the document - or just describe a detail. End with an analysis that connects your details (evidence) to your claim. 5 sentences should be enough. You do NOT need to do any research. The documents linked on this webpage are enough. If you struggle with this assignment, just write a paragraph about anything that you learned from this week and we can take it from there next week.
