Goals for Students Entering Transitional Kindergarten:
Attention and Focus - Explores through observing, manipulating or asking simple questions, is able to control their emotions and behavior with some adult support, persists in the activities they choose with some adult support
Social-Emotional Learning - Is able to identify their own and others' feelings, participates in cooperative play and pretend play with one or two peers for brief periods of time
Oral Language - Responds to one step requests or questions, uses short phrases or sentences to communicate in short back and forth conversations
Reading - Looks at books page by page or participates in listening to stories from beginning to end; makes comments or asks questions about the book
Writing - Makes scribble marks or simple drawings that represent the people, events or things in their life
