Request Library Books

Tired of staring at a screen?
The library now offers physical library book checkouts!

  1. Find a book!

  1. Go to destinydiscover.com to access our online catalog. The first time you do this, you'll need to select your state and your school.

  2. You can start browsing immediately, but to request books, you'll need to log in. Click the "LOG IN" button in the top right corner and use your student ID and password to log in.

  3. You can use the search bar at the top to look for specific books or authors. You can also browse our Recently Added books and other Collections. More Collections will be added each week, so be sure to check those out!

2. Place a hold!

Click the blue HOLD button to be added to the waiting list for this book. If the book is currently available, you will get an instant notification. However, make sure you wait for your email from the librarian. This gives us time to locate and prep the book for you so your pick-up process is super quick!

You will be able to place up to 5 holds at one time.

3. Wait for your email!

When your book is ready for pick-up, you will receive an email notification from the librarian. She will explain where and when you can pick up your book.

You might also receive an email from Destiny Discover, but make sure you look for that email from Ms. Ogle. This will ensure that your book is actually ready to hand off to you when you arrive.

4. Pick up your book!

When you receive a notification email from the library, you can pick up your book during library hours. (We'll include all the info you need to pick up your book at the right place and time.)

Your book will be held for two weeks. Make sure you come before that on or before that day.

5. Return your book!

You can return your book any day during library service hours. This info will be in your notification email, too!

When books are returned, they will be safely quarantined
for 1 week before they are reshelved
or given to the next student on the Holds list.

If you have questions, just email your librarian!
