Writing Program: Write From the Beginning and Journeys

A new writing assignment will be given about every two weeks, with mini-lessons taught daily. Students will brainstorm, prewrite using Thinking Maps, and type or write their rough draft. Students will then begin the editing process, keeping in mind what they learned during mini-lessons in class. They will submit their edited work to me using either Google Classroom or a printed version.

Genres Taught: Narrative (Personal and Imaginative), Opinion, and Expository Writing (writing to persuade and informational)
