Welcome to Our Class!
Hello and welcome! I'm thrilled to have you join my classroom for the 2025–2026 school year. This marks my 24th year as an educator—I've taught Kindergarten, 1st, and 8th grade at Holy Angels Catholic Grammar School, spent 15 years teaching 4th grade at Hugo Reid Elementary, and am now entering my fourth year at Highland Oaks, where I’ve taught both 3rd and 4th grades. Each year, I look forward to building meaningful connections with my students and embarking on a new journey of learning together.
A little about me: I was born and raised in Arcadia and now live in Sierra Madre. I'm proud to be a Hugo Reid alum (I started there in Kindergarten!) and a graduate of Holy Angels for elementary and middle school. I went on to attend Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy for high school, earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of San Diego, and later completed both my teaching credential and Master’s in Education at Azusa Pacific University.
Outside the classroom, my husband and I recently celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary. We have two amazing kids—an 11-year-old daughter and a 7-year-old son—who keep us busy with their sports and activities. Our family also includes two sweet rescue pups, Hazel and Hank! We love spending time outdoors at local parks, road-tripping along the California coast, cheering for the Dodgers, and watching our kids play baseball, softball, and soccer.
Each year, my goal remains the same: to create a classroom community where every student feels heard, valued, and empowered. I aim to cultivate an environment that not only supports academic growth but also encourages curiosity, creativity, and collaboration. I want my students to feel excited to learn, confident in expressing themselves, and proud of the work they do.
I’m so excited to partner with you and your child for a wonderful year ahead. Here's to a fantastic school year together!
Warmly,
Mrs. Arnerich
