What does a tutor do?
Tutors are extremely helpful if you need additional assistance with homework, quiz/test review, and speaking/pronunciation
Tutees will get EXTRA CREDIT for coming to Peer Tutoring
How do I request a tutor?
Scan the QR code to access the Request Form.
Once you fill out the request form, you should hear a response from the French Club email (frenchclubpeertutoringahs@gmail.com) within 3 business days. If not, please send an email or reach out to one of the officers listed on the homepage.
The email that will be sent out will consist of:
- Tutor name and contact
- Location/Time of tutoring
There are 2 options for tutoring: Group Sessions and One on Ones. For the most part, any help you get from an official French peer tutor can be documented in exchange for extra credit.
Group Sessions: Usually, group sessions happen after school the day before or the morning of tests or quizzes. There is no need to fill out the Request a Tutor Form for group sessions. Just drop by and fill out the Tutee Post-Tutoring form before you leave.
One on Ones: Unlike group tutoring, one on ones consist of one tutor and one tutee. Tutees have the option of being tutored regularly(weekly/monthly/before a test/etc) or only once. For one on ones, tutees need to fill out a Request a Tutor Form so the French Peer Tutoring team can pair you up with a tutor. You also have the option of choosing a tutor.
Tutees must fill out the Tutee Post-Tutoring form after ANY session otherwise hours for extra credit will not be counted.
