Geometry

The objective of this course is to help the student understand plane and space relationships. Topics covered include: geometric transformations, congruence in terms of rigid motions, constructions, geometric proof, similarity, right triangles, trigonometry, circles, expressing geometric properties with equations, geometric measurement and dimension, and probability. Practical applications are addressed through the solution of word problems or performance tasks. Optional topics may be addressed as time allows.
