Notes App
Edtech coach, Kyle Mont Blanc, shares the updated version of the notes app on the Boxlight interactive panel. This whiteboard app brings out the best of the panel and can enhance the classroom experience for both teachers and students.
Intro to Lynx Whiteboard
Designed for interactive displays, LYNX Whiteboard is a free-to-use lesson building app, enabling student collaboration. Download Lynx to your computer here!
Download Clevershare app
Watch how to download this app to wirelessly connect to your board! Go here to download Clevershare
Unfortunately this Is bit tedious, but to get this to work on a mac you will need to follow these steps below:
After downloading Clevershare, upon attempting to run it you will get a system error message saying it cannot run because the developer cannot be verified.
To work around this go the “Finder” and pull up Clevershare.
Press “Control” and click the mouse simultaneously, then click “Open” at the top of the dropdown menu to launch Clevershare.
Connect to the panel either by selecting it from the list of available panels (depending on your network setup this list may or may not be populated), or enter the 6-digit pin displayed on the panel’s server app.
Once connected, you will then choose to Screen Share (broadcast the computer to the panel) or Desktop Sync (mirror the panel to the computer). For our purposes we’ll assume you wish to choose to Screen Share
Upon selecting Screen Share the next window allows you to select the desktop to mirror to the panel or Extend Screen. Make your selection and press the “Mirror” button at the bottom.
The Mac will then popup a window with a prompt to enter your Apple ID, saying you need to grant permissions for screen recording (this will be the first of several prompts to enter your password and allow permissions: allow Clevershare to record keystrokes from all apps, allow microphone, etc.).
Once you get through all the permissions (again, this process is tedious- please be patient) and are mirroring your computer to the panel, there is one more permission that must be given. At the top center of your computer screen there is a small “Mirroring” tab. Hover the mouse over it to expand the menu and click on the “Touch” button. You will then be prompted one last time to enter your password and allow touch functions on the panel.
At this point you are connected wirelessly to your panel with full touch and sound and can control your Mac from there. Again, this is a security function for all third-party products, but the good news is that you only need to go through the permission-giving one time. Please be sure to install the proper app, Clevertouch for Mac .
