Qustodio- What Is It?
Qustodio is a parental control app for computers, tablets, and smartphones that helps you monitor your kids' screen time and prevent them from seeing inappropriate content. You can set specific filters and time limits for websites and apps they use and supervise their device usage history. At APS we’re committed to providing a learning experience that allows your child to grow and flourish with technology.
That’s why we’ve teamed up with a student safety and digital wellbeing platform that is now protecting the devices your child uses at school, ensuring they stay safe and secure.
We’re happy to invite you to join us in this world of digital wellbeing by giving you access to the Qustodio Parents App. This will provide you with full visibility on how your child is using their school devices. Simply create your account (see QR codes below) to see your personalized dashboard.
This app works in tandem with our content filter and is free for parents in our school district.
Parents also have the ability to add up to two personal devices for free at the basic level, with discount upgrade options for those who are interested. For more information, please see this flyer.

How does it work in blended households?
a.Each parent can create their own unique login and control their child's school device usage after school hours.
b. Example: Joe (household #1) uses his email to create and monitor Joey's student device. Joe can add an additional adult to his acct to have access to the device AND he can add 2 free personal devices. Sarah (household #2) uses her email to create and monitor Joey's student device too. Sarah can also add an additional adult to her acct to have access AND add 2 free devices to her account.
How do I create my account?
a. Just click on the ‘Create your account’ button above and then follow the steps shown on screen.
What can I do with Qustodio?
a.You can view your child’s activity on their school devices, read digital safety guidance from experts, and remotely switch off the internet using the ‘Pause’ button during hours designated by your district.
Do I need to configure Qustodio on my child's school device to turn on protection
a. No, your child's device is already protected. By setting up your account with Qustodio, you aren’t turning protection on or off. Your new account provides you with visibility of your child's activity on their school device.
Do I need to pay anything?
a. It is completely free to create your account and get visibility on your child’s school devices. You can also get visibility on two family devices for free - with the option of adding Premium features.
How does Qustodio use my child’s data?
a. Qustodio is COPPA compliant and does not share personal data with third parties.
Why do I need to Install a client on my childs personal device?
a. You will need to Install the client on the personal device, as that's the only way qustodio can work to capture your childs Internet activity
I thought this was totally free?
a. Qustodio is free on as many APS devices as you'd like with the premium features. They also allow two free personal devices for free. You would need to pay for premium services on the personal device if you'd like the same functionality as the APS issued device.
