Angela Sunderland is the computer science/technology teacher at Mrachek Middle School. This is her 14th year to teach. Previously, she has taught middle school in Denver Public Schools and Weld County Schools in Greeley, Colorado. She is originally from North Little Rock, Arkansas and earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. 

After a 15-year career in the medical transcription department at the hospital in Greeley, she went back to school to earn her Master's degree in Teaching Leadership. She holds two professional teaching licenses: A teaching license with secondary social studies, secondary language arts, technology education, and elementary education endorsements. Her other professional license is in Career and Technical Education. 

Ms. Sunderland loves to work in the yard. She is an avid saxophone player and loves to play it in public. Additionally, she loves to sing. She currently lives with her wife, Liz, in Aurora with their two kittens, Walnut and Chocolate Chip. She has two grown children who both live in Portland.
