Application & Acceptance Process
1) Submit the ASCENT online application
Submission indicates your interest in the program and prompts us to check your eligibility and keep you informed of next steps.
It is important you check your school and personal email accounts after applying as this is where follow up information is sent.
Submission deadline is March 1st
2) Attend an ASCENT informational meeting
In-person & virtual options are available. A parent/guardian is encouraged to attend with you.
Dates and times will be emailed to you in late March.
3) Submit the ASCENT Agreement & Registration form
After attending an ASCENT informational meeting, forms will be available for student and parent/guardian to sign.
Submission of this form indicates your intent to participate in the ACSENT program for the 24/25 school year. Submission of this form will result in your high school diploma being withheld, per ASCENT state guidelines.
Deadline is May 1st
4) Receive an official ASCENT Scholarship offer
Offers begin going out via email in May. Students who accept the scholarship will not receive their diploma at graduation. For funding purposes, the state requires that districts hold onto diplomas and delay students' official graduation date to align with completion of the ASCENT program.
There is no longer a limit on the number of ASCENT scholarships each school district receives. This means students who meet all state and district qualifications and paperwork deadlines will receive an ASCENT scholarship.
