APS Options Bookroom Policies and Procedures are as follows:
Families can only check out one level/grade of a curriculum at a time and only one subject per child (example: you can not have Math-U-See and Singapore Math at the same time). You may check out up to five different Language Arts subjects such as Reading, Spelling, Grammar, Vocabulary, Literature.
It is recommended that curriculum with companion consumables should be purchased. All consumables are non-refundable. If you wish to exchange consumable items, they must be unused and exchanged within 3 weeks of purchase. The credit must be used at the time of exchange. All Bookshark Kits require consumables of $50-100.
Only families with an active APS Options student are allowed to check material out of the bookroom. An APS Options Bookroom Passport must be on file to check out books. Your credit card must have an expiration date after the school year ends and be updated as needed. Credit card information will be kept for Bookroom use only and put in our Office safe. If a credit card is a challenge for you, please contact Melanie to discuss alternatives.
Books must be returned on or before your child’s last day of school if you withdraw anytime in the year. Charges may be made to your credit card on file if you do not return them within one month. Please carefully check all items you are returning, especially Bookshark, foreign language, math manipulatives and CD/DVD holders for any potential missing items.
Curriculum may be returned to your site Coordinator on school days or to the APS Options Bookroom/APS Options office Mondays ,Wednesdays, or Thursdays from 8:00am - 1:00pm.
If you still need to finish a curriculum, most items may be renewed for up to six months.
If you do not live close to the bookroom, we are glad to offer delivery during the school year to each site by our principals. Realize that it could take up to two weeks to have your materials delivered to your site. If you are ordering consumables for delivery, we will charge your credit card on file.
Please reach out to us ASAP if you have a missing or damaged curriculum. We know things happen, but also would ask that books are returned in the condition received. Parents are responsible to pay the full or partial replacement cost for any lost or damaged items. If you have any outstanding fines or missing materials, you may not be able to check-out new curriculum.
The Bookroom is closed for the month of April for inventory and Spring Bookfair preparation, as well as mid-June through the end of July for summer break. No books may be checked out or exchanged during this time, but you can return items if the office is open. Fall returns, new checkouts, and purchases for returning families resumes September 1. We reserve August for new families only. Sign up at SignUpGenius for an appointment year round.
