Beginning in January or ASAP, Seniors interested in participating will do the following:
Find a Community Advisor (professional in the community to intern with). Discuss the details of the experience with them, and direct them to the "For Community Advisors" page of this website for further information.
Find a Faculty Advisor (educator at AHS). Explain your experience proposal to them, who you have chosen as Community Advisor and why, and direct them to the "For Faculty Advisors" page of this website for further information.
Complete and submit the Senior Internship Application.
March 19th: Deadline for application.
April 7th - April 11th:
Seniors will be notified by Mr. Baker if their internship application has been approved, or if it needs revision.
A Google Classroom for Senior Internship Participants will be created. This will be the mechanism for how journal entries, time logs, and any materials for the symposium presentations are submitted and stored.
April 22rd - April 28th:
First Week of Internship. Students will meet with their Faculty Advisor once during this week, and will submit Journal Entries and the Week One Time Log.
April 29th - May 5th:
Second Week of Internship. Students will meet with their Faculty Advisor once during this week, and will submit Journal Entries and the Week Two Time Log.
May 6th - May 13th:
Third Week of Internship. Students will meet with their Faculty Advisor once during this week, and will submit Journal Entries and the Week One Time Log.
May 13th, 7:00 p.m.:
Senior Symposium at Aurora High School.
