This isn't a real address in case anyone is wondering, and neither is the phone number. I took various inspirations incorporating a classica style with some more modern style elements.
Evidently, I expressed a rainbow theme with a black border to contrast the bright colors in the center.
This is a map of Miramonte, however I chose to make it a "Runner's Map" by including several commonly ran routes for Cross Country or Track & Field Athletes
Posters
One of my favorite games, I took inspiration for this poster from it while experimenting around quite a bit.Â
Expressive TypeÂ
Stars & Lines
Josef Albers Pieces
Second version of the triangles I attempted, first is incomplete, but I may finish for later.
My Dad went to CU Boulder, and I am a fan, Go Buffs!
A picture of my friend I took at night, the confused blur of him is complemented by the chaotic fire and ominous horizon.
My first attempt I messed around with the brush and star tools. This design inspired the next design's "star" motif.
Taking inspiration from the Figma test of the Day and Night light switch I made my own interpretation.
More Experimental I went for a mountain / sea design with angler lights and fish for the sea and snowcapped mountaintops.
Semester 2
During Winter Break I visited Denver, Colorado. I went to see family, visit Boulder, and to enjoy the New Year. This was my first design and I tried experimenting a bit to warm up.
A lookout from the Lone Mountain Campus above USF, this postcard I tried to make look more old school and added a film grain and scratches.
In this card I experimented more with the filters and thought that the wind almost emulated a form of holographic foil of some sort in the sky and decided to keep it. I visited Putah Creek on the way home from Redding and despite only stopping for a while it was quite beautiful.
Front of the Business Card I made for a furtniture & moving business. All of the info is made up. The weblike structure at the bottom is a focal design point since it has a darkening ring aroud it.
The back of the Business card which has my name and a diamond design. The E and H in the columns above and below stand for the E & H in Eric Handles.
For this project we were allowed to create whatever design we wanted, so I tried to create a movie poster about the fear of deep oceans. I emulated the style of some other posters of other works like Rocky and Dusk. I wanted to incorporate more detailed subject matter, but I felt that the eye gazing from the depths like an inverse sun captures the fear of the unknown in a much more convincing way. Additionally, the brushstrokes appear much more fluid than just the radial gradient I used for the background.
A keyboard color design and back with small icons for the 'Fn Lock', 'Caps Lock", and Power.
Spring Break Poster
For this poster, I wanted to highlight both parts of my trip. I visited several schools in Southern California, but I also went to Texas. I dediced to split the poster into top & botoom. At the bottom I included pictures of the Irvine mascot (Anteaters) as well as some other pictures of the railroad and of landscapes. In Texas I saw the total solar eclipse, but also stopped by in the town of Grapevine & at a nearby lake.Â
In Cold Blood Cover
For this cover, the Clutter family home illustration is placed in the center, shrouded in darkness as it was during the time of the murder. The flowing lines are smooth but break off in some parts as an allusion to the murderers dysfunctional, yet strategic relationship.
Acalanes Student Planner 2024-25
My submission to the Acalanes Union High School District Student Planner for 2024-2025, incorporating each of the 5 schools in a pentagon with each section also being colored to match the school.
Magazine Project
The Project gave us a chance to try and manipulate type and create unique layouts for a magazine. I tried to create a colorful and bold layout that emphasized light. I experimented a whole lot and tried changing up my style a bit for each spread.
Made for the adobe express video project.
