The front door is unlocked and students can begin arriving at 6:30am.
Students are welcome to remain in the school building after school hours if they have a supervised athletic, academic, or club activity purpose. There is no supervision for students after school unless they are directly involved with a current teacher or coach-led activity. Students may wait for rides home in the entrance area or food court of the building. Students who are loitering, misbehaving, or walking about the school after school hours without any purpose will be expected to leave and potentially lose the ability to remain after school hours.
Middle School students must be directly supervised by a teacher or coach in order to remain after school hours
Students staying after school for any reason, other than participation on a co-curricular, extracurricular or athletic team, must follow these guidelines:
1. Students who are walkers MUST LEAVE school grounds immediately after being dismissed.
2. Students MAY STAY after school for legitimate reasons (such as getting help on homework) and MUST EXHIBIT appropriate behavior at all times.
3. If these guidelines are not followed, the student will lose the privilege of staying after school until further notice.
4. The Kennebec Explorer has agreed to add a Cony stop to their route to provide students who are staying after school for activities or academics a ride. Students must schedule a ride 24 hours in advance and get tickets in the main office the day of the ride. The bus stops by Cony at 2:50 and 3:50. Middle school students need a parent permission to ride the Kennebec Explorer.
