Community Service Hours
Freshman students are always worried about upperclassmen and their perception of them. You can help bridge that gap.
Mentors will have a group of 5-10 freshman students that they work with throughout the year.
Every month throughout the year during Cougar Return you will meet with your freshman mentees to work on teambuilding and other activities. Mentors are expected to meet prior to those monthly meetings to discuss what the topic will be during that week.
It is expected that mentors will attend all meetings and be there for their 9th grade students, so if you cannot make the commitment, then you should not apply.
For transfer students, mentors will provide tours around the school and eat lunch with them the first day or two that they are here.
Mentors are expected to help out with various events throughout the year, like Back to School Night.
Applications are due to Mrs. King by Friday, January 31, 2025
Interviews will be conducted in February
New Cougar Crew Leaders will have training sessions in March and April to discuss expectations and begin the planning process for next school year.
