My name is Donald Burton, and I will be your child’s Fourth Grade teacher this year! I received my undergraduate degree from Bridgewater College and my Master’s degree from Mary Baldwin College. I am married with two children: my daughter will be starting Radiology Tech school this fall, and my son will be in 11^th grade. This will be my 22^nd year teaching in Augusta County! I spent my first 14 years at Verona Elementary School where I taught Kindergarten, First, Second, and Fourth grades. This will be my 8th year at WES!! I spent the first six years in First grade, and am looking forward to my second year in Fourth grade!

Color: Orange and Blue (but I like most all colors ☺)

Drink: Sweet tea, Dr. Pepper, hot chocolate/chocolate milk, root beer

Food: BBQ ribs, Italian (pizza, lasagna, pasta, etc.), Chick-fil-A

Hobby: Golf, Hiking, Going to concerts, Ziplining, Reading, spending time with my family

Movie: Star Wars series

Music: Country (Brad Paisley is my favorite artist), 80’s Pop

Season: Fall

Sport: basketball, golf, and baseball

Sports Team: National Champion UVA HOOS and Orioles (I will cheer for VT when not playing UVA ☺)
