This Year At a Glance

The FDHS chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America meets during Cycle A on club days. 

Dues for state and national office are $14. 
*NOTE: This is an increase because national dues increased to $10 beginning in Fall 2023.

2025-2026 Events

July 2025

• Officers attend FDHS Student Leadership Retreat 

• Officers work with advisers to develop Program of Work for 2025-2026

• Officers recruit new members (9th grade Orientation + Club Fair Video)

August 2025

• Teachers collect $14 dues from new members

• First Club Day meeting with Minute-to-Win-It Rotations

September 2025

• Teachers collect $14 dues from new members

• Meeting with Guest Speaker on Artificial Intelligence

October 2025

• FBLA "Ax-cellence in Business" station at Trunk or Treat at FDHS 

• Assist 300+ children at Danone Family Halloween Event

• Meeting with decorating pumpkins and then delivery to residents at Bridgewater Retirement Community

November 2025

• 1 Officer and Adviser attend Regional Fall Conference at U-Rec at JMU

• Meeting with making Christmas crafts

• Club Picture Day for the Yearbook

December 2025

• Members deliver crafts to elderly residents at Bridgewater Retirement Community

• Members volunteer at Danone's Christmas Event with Photos with Santa

January 2026

• Officers conduct a Public Speaking Workshop during chapter meeting

• Officers and advisers planned FBLA Week activities (Food Drive for Valley Mission in conjunction with FCCLA)

• Members signed up to compete at regionals

February

• School Club Day Cancelled (due to many snow days)

• Recognize CTE Month on daily announcements on TV system

• Regional Competition for Production Tests held at FDHS after school

• Celebrate FBLA Week (on PA system + classroom TV system):

  • Daily trivia questions with prizes; dress up days; appreciation days

March 

• FBLA Alumni Day

• Travel to attend Regional Competitions and Leadership Conference at Shenandoah University
