Pablo Rojas

My name is Pablo Rojas, I´m from Quetzaltenango, a city in the western highlands of Guatemala. I hold a degree in Psychology. I have work experience as a Spanish teacher to international students, an experience that showed me that I have the skills and enjoy accompanying students and professionals with diverse backgrounds who visit my country. In recent years my work has centered on research projects related to indigenous and women’s rights, human rights and history in Guatemala, Mexico and some countries of South America.
On a personal note, I am 36 years old, married with two children. I spend my free time with my family as well as playing chess, ping pong and listening to music on vinyl records, and when the weather is good I like to climb mountains or enjoy the ocean.

Ceiba G. Maldonado
Instructor, Guatemala
Ceiba G. Maldonado is a gender-expansive individual born to a mixed-race family in Guatemala City. During their twenties they were an “international student” in east Tennessee, which gave them a first-hand understanding of the potential for growth that studying abroad provides. They moved back to Iximulew (Guatemala) after studying a Bachelor's in Communication Studies and a Master's in Cultural Anthropology. Ceiba now creates welcoming spaces where introspection and solidarity can flourish, in a way that contributes to personal and collective healing, by questioning social structures of power and tapping into the wisdom of our individual lineages. They are now happy to contribute their skills and knowledge to CGEE programs in Guatemala.
