Housing

The first night of the program, in Guatemala City, you will stay together at Casa Emaus, Guest house Semilla. Bedrooms and bathrooms will be shared between 2-4 students.

In Quetzaltenango-Xela, you will stay with local Host Families chosen by the staff of the language school with input from our Guatemala staff. The families would be considered middle class by Guatemalan standards, (which are not the same as those in the U.S.). Conditions will be simple but comfortable. Each student is placed with a family. 

In Panajachel you will stay at Kamol Bey. Bedrooms and bathrooms will be be shared between two students and in La Antigua you will stay at Hotel Santa Ana, as you explore the city and visit neighboring communities. 

You will start your stay in Costa Rica at the HOSTEL "EL BAMBÚ" at the Biblical Latinamerican University (UBL), a comfortable, welcoming, spacious and safe residence, with spaces for study, reflection and coexistence. Classes will also be held at UBL.  This will be your home for the first half of the program in Costa Rica.  

The second half you will be hosted by local families.
