With a deep sense of regret, we would like to inform you that the National Conference of School of Vocational Studies, Ambedkar University Delhi scheduled from March12-13, 2020 stands postponed due to the spread of Corona-virus (COVID-19) in Delhi and adjourning states. This decision is taken based on the direction conveyed by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi. The new dates for the conference will be conveyed in the due course of time once the issue gets settled.

We sincerely regret the inconvenience caused to you, as it was beyond our control.

The Conference has keynote sessions by the experts in a plenary session and parallel sessions. The participants are required to submit the abstract and theme based papers as per the tentative schedule as drawn below:

  • 10th January 2020 - Announcement for the Conference
  • 31st January 2020 - Last date for submission of abstract
  • 07th February 2020 - Intimation to the author regarding acceptance of the papers
  • 28th February 2020 - Submission of full papers

About School of of Vocational Studies (SVS)

The School of Vocational Studies (SVS) at AUD was launched in 2017 as part of the university’s vision to reach out to youths of Delhi to pursue full-time or part-time tertiary education for getting prepared to participate effectively in the fast-growing economy through acquisition of skills and quality livelihood. The vision of the School of Vocational Studies is to become leader in vocational education sector by striving equity and social justice, with excellence by providing unique, updated and industry relevant learning experiences to its students.

SVS prioritizes in developing such academic programmes that may provide students with the required skill-set and strong academic grounding for meaningful employment and to become an enlightened citizen. The programmes are envisaged in such a manner that it focuses not only to fill the gaps as skilled professional for the relevant industries but also enable them to become self-employed, entrepreneurs, creators and generators of jobs for many more youths in their vicinity.

SVS follows the University Grants Commission’s (UGC) guidelines for implementing the academic programmes. Currently it offers three vocational programmes with multiple entry and exit options that lead to Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Bachelor of Vocation (BVoc) degree in areas such as- (1) BVoc Early Childhood Centre Management and Entrepreneurship (ECCME), (2) BVoc Retail Management and (3) BVoc Tourism and Hospitality.
