Providing continuing education for post high school students with significant disabilities in order to improve independence and quality of life as adults.
All students will become active members of their community by engaging in learning opportunities tailored to their unique needs and abilities, in order to reach their post secondary goals.
One of the most popular activities at TAP are the weekly outings that students make into Auburn and the surrounding communities. Students plan their outings including routing and riding public transportation and using their ORCA cards. The best part, of course, is going on the outing and spending time shopping, exploring, eating out, participating in fun activities, and socializing with friends. In addition to our normal weekly outings, we also have special group outings such as the Washington State Fair, bowling, movies, Dave and Busters, Seattle, and even a Mariner's game!

Most of our students work in volunteer positions be it through the ASD Community Lab program, job sites managed by TAP, or jobs within the Program. Many students participate in work experiences for several hours every day, and have opportunities to try out several different job sites during their years at TAP.
All of our students strive to increase their independence in everything they do during their stay in the program. Students practice skills such as cooking, cleaning, self care, and self advocacy. Many students open and manage their own bank accounts, practice creating and maintaining a budget, and participate in curriculum in paying monthly bills and expenses.
