About Me

Patrick Swenson

This is my 39th year of teaching, all in Washington state. I did my undergraduate degree at Pacific Lutheran University, and my Masters at Lesley University. I've taught at Quinault Schools, Evergreen High School in White Center, and at Auburn Riverside since 2000. I run a small press book publishing company called Fairwood Press. I have a personal author website at patrickswenson.net. I sold my first novel, titled The Ultra Thin Man to Tor Books. The sequel is called The Ultra Big Sleep, and the final in the trilogy, The Ultra Long Goodbye, will be published this fall. My novel Rain Music appeared a couple years ago.  A new story was published in the anthology Crooked V.2, and another in the anthology Unbound II. I also run a writers retreat called The Rainforest Writers Village that takes place at Quinault, WA.

My 21-year-old Artemis (below) graduated from Riverside in 2020, and is working on a career in art, game design and computer science.  They've done the new covers for the reprints of my first novels.
