8th grader motivation has been dwindling, but after a day to decompress on Thursday many came back strong today working hard on their projects. There is still a general struggle though with motivation during this time of year, please check in with your student to see how they are doing. We have completed 2 reflections in the past month that are assessment grades, make sure your student is caught up on theirs.

7th graders did good this week overall. We focused this week on growth mindset, watched a documentary about how growth mindset can benefit you in school, and wrote a paragraph answering an essential question about growth mindset.

Please check in with your student about their grade. We didn't complete an assessment this week, but we have had 2 assessments in the past few weeks. There are many students with Fs, who can easily get those grades up before the end of the year.
