The main focus of 6th grade leadership is developing basic skills to become a self-manager; you must be able to lead yourself before you can lead others! There will also be team-building opportunities, self-reflection, and creative expression integrated throughout everything we do. All of this will be in preparation for you to continue in leadership throughout your time at Olympic Middle School.

Weekly schedule
On Mindset Monday, we will complete a lesson from What Do You Stand For? A Guide to Building Character. This lesson will set the tone for the rest of our week, and push us to consider our own character.
On Teamwork Tuesday, we will complete a challenge with out groups. This challenge will require many minds working together, and everyone's unique strengths. We will also spend time self-reflecting on our role in the group challenge.
On Work Hard Wednesday, we will learn about and discuss a topic that is imperative to us being successful leaders. Topics include goal-setting, problem solving, growth mindset, and mindfulness.
On Thoughtful Thursday, we will further our knowledge of that week's leadership topic, and engage with the topic through both online and paper activities.
On Flex Friday, we will flex our knowledge from that week via written or artistic expression. We will also have the flexibility to engage in fun activities when the whole group has finished their work.
