MRS. ANDERSON
My name is Amy Anderson and this is my seventeenth year of teaching. The first six years I taught at Terminal Park Elementary as a fourth grade teacher and then as the library teacher. In 2014, I moved to Ilalko and I have been the library teacher here for the last eleven years.
I grew up in Auburn and love being a part of this community. In fact, I attended elementary school just up Auburn Way at Chinook Elementary, followed by Olympic Middle School, and then Auburn High School. (Auburn Trojans, hats off to thee!) Not to worry, my educational career did not stop there! I have a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Science Education from Central Washington University. I received my Professional Certification through Pacific Lutheran University. I also have a Masters Degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Technology Integration from Walden University and a Library Media Endorsement from Seattle Pacific University.
My husband and I met at Auburn High School and have been inseparable ever since. We've been married for fifteen years and have a three children. Hailey is ten going on twenty and is way cooler than her parents. Carli Jo and Jake are fraternal twins and turned seven last July. They are always up for an adventure and keep us on our toes. When we aren't working, cooking, or cleaning, we love camping, dreaming of our next trip to Disneyland, playing video games, going to comic book or anime conventions, eating carbs, and, of course, reading.
If you have any question or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. I can be reached via email at aanderson@auburn.wednet.edu, or by phone at (253)931-4748.
It's a great day to be an Ilalko Husky!
