-Align courses to students interests, preferences, strengths and needs
-College visits offered usually towards end of school year. Listen to the morning announcements or check in with the career center!
-Opportunities to participate in DVR-led job clubs with organizations such as Highline College, Open Doors Multicultural Center or ANEW. Most offer paid internships at the end.
-Continue to explore post secondary options with your child. Start college visits with your student and visit the disability center to see what is available and realistic.
-Get an ID! This could be a license or just a state ID, but you need some form of ID.
-Volunteer- Gain experience by volunteering and gaining knowledge of what is available within the community.
