AWWS serves individuals with a wide range of conditions, with some events specifically designed to support particular populations. These include events for individuals who are blind or visually impaired, individuals with ALS, and both children and adults with developmental disabilities.
Description:
AAWS provides inclusive water-based activities such as kayaking, waterskiing, wakeboarding, wakesurfing, tubing, boating, and fishing for indidviduals throughout Arizona. They serve individuals with a wide range of disabilities, including spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, vision loss, ALS, amputations, and wheelchair users, while also welcoming families, caregivers, and friends to participate alongside them for no extra cost.

Arizona Disabled Sports (ADS) provides inclusive adaptive sports and recreation opportunities for individuals with physical, intellectual, and developmental disabilities across Arizona. The organization offers a wide range of programs designed to promote participation, skill development, confidence, and quality of life through both recreational and competitive sports.
There are 2 programs ADS is involved with. The first is Arizona Heat, which serves individuals with physical disabilities to engage in the sports of archery, bowling, cycling, kayaking, power soccer, swimming, track & field, goalball, and air rifle/air gun activities. The second is Team Mesa, which supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through sports, recreation, social activities, and camps. These activities include bocce ball, basketball, golf, soccer, cheerleading, floor hockey, and more. Through community partnerships, events, and competitions, Arizona Disabled Sports works to ensure no one is left on the sidelines and that individuals of all abilities have access to meaningful recreation and athletic opportunities.
