When Atonement sold a piece of land to neighboring Preble High School in 2023, it was decided by the congregation to use some of the money from that sale to start annually providing a scholarship to an eligible High School Senior. This scholarship is awarded annually to a High School Senior accepted to attend a technical college, community college, four-year college or university after graduation who has been involved in the life of the Christian faith community here at Atonement Lutheran Church
