1. Do respect your colleagues
APS XChange is a platform to connect and work together. Make sure you behave as you would in a face-to-face conversation.
2. Do customize notifications
Customize your notification settings for groups and posts to make sure you know what’s happening in the company and don’t miss important team or project updates.
3. Do create and join groups
Use Suggested Groups to discover and join groups once you get started. You can also create a new group and pin a post explaining the group's purpose.
4. Do take part in discussions and work out loud
APS XChange is all about collaboration. “Work out loud” by asking questions and offering knowledge to anyone in the organization. Two brains are better than one.
5. Do tag colleagues in important posts
Keep your coworkers up to date with your work by tagging them in a post or comment. Tagging coworkers on APS XChange keeps the entire team involved and informed.
6. Do move internal communication to APS XChange
APS XChange provides a platform where everyone can have a voice. Move your internal communications to APS XChange and get immediate feedback from the team.
7. Do use APS XChange as a work tool
APS XChange is for working on projects and in teams within your company. Migrate your usual team communications onto APS XChange for faster, quicker collaboration.
8. Do share and collaborate on documents
Create and upload files in groups to collaborate with your coworkers. Title your documents clearly so your coworkers can find content easily through search.
9. Do download mobile apps
Stay connected by using APS XChange (powered via Workplace by Facebook) apps available from the iOS App Store and Google Play Store.
10. DON’T share sensitive or inappropriate information
Remember, you’re at work. Before sharing sensitive or inappropriate information, consider your audience. APS expects all employees to exercise professionalism and good judgment in any platform and communication activities.

Any electronic activity conducted via the APS network or using APS computers—including the APS e-mail account—is subject to inspection and monitoring. There should not be any expectation of privacy. Electronic systems should primarily be used for instructional and administrative support. Limited personal use is permitted. Use of APS Internet and technology resources is a privilege that may be revoked at any time. If you violate the national, state, local and system provisions about the use of electronic resources, you will lose access to the electronic network and/or face disciplinary actions.

Social media is a useful tool for effectively communicating with stakeholders about the work of the district. “Social Media” is defined as all social media activities by district employees, including but not limited to the use of blogs, forums, social networking sites and any other web-based communications on publicly available sites. Social media activities related to the work of the district are encouraged to take place in a classroom or district office setting so long as such activities do not detract from the employee’s effectiveness or other job duties.

Furthermore, any social media activities must comply with all applicable laws including, but not limited to, anti-discrimination, anti-harassment, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), copyright, trademark, defamation, privacy, securities, and any other applicable laws and regulations. Any communication which is unprofessional or prohibited in any other form is also unprofessional or prohibited on social media. Employees should be mindful that any social media post, even from an employee’s personal, non-district account, may be interpreted as being made on behalf of the district.
