Hands-On Experience.
The purpose of the Internship Program is to increase a student’s employability skills and to give hands on experience into a career they are interested in. This is different from a part time job in that students are expected to reflect on the experience and use what they have learned to help them determine their career pathway after graduation. Career awareness and development is the main goal of the program. Past internship programs have been around 40 hours over a period of 4 weeks. We can transform this program to fit the needs of the school district.
Special "Thank You" to the Rocky Community Improvement Fund and the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation for the grants Project RISE was awarded. These funds allow us to pay each intern a stipend at the end of their internship.
