Congratulations on getting your Visa process started! Now comes the tedious part: all of the Athenian forms! Since we are a boarding school here in California, there are quite a few details to cover when it comes to onboarding your student at our school. Below is a guide on how to access and upload your forms!
Step 1
Once you have filled out the intake form from the previous page, our tech department will send you an email with login information for our registration website, MyAthenian. The email may go to your spam folder, so be on the lookout!
Use that login to get into MyAthenian (Blackbaud), and fill out the information about your student there (name, DOB, address, etc.).
Step 2
From MyAthenian, click the 'Parent' tab at the top left of the window. On screen you will see a series of links to various websites - you want the first link, to Magnus Health. Click that link to open up and set up your account in Magnus.
Step 3
Fill out the many health forms! Some of these are simply forms that you click on in Magnus and say 'yes' or 'no' to, and a few of these are more involved. The physical exam form, linked here, needs to be filled out by your student's physician. The immunization records must be the official records (with dates for each vaccination) from your physician or the agency giving the immunizations. Below is a list of required immunizations for California and The Athenian School.
Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis (DTaP, DTP, Tdap, or Td) — 5 doses
(4 doses OK if one was given on or after 4th birthday. 3 doses OK if one was given on or after 7th birthday.)
For 7th-12th graders, at least 1 dose of pertussis-containing vaccine is required on or after 7th birthday.
Polio (OPV or IPV) — 4 doses (3 doses OK if one was given on or after 4th birthday)
Hepatitis B — 3 doses
Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) — 2 doses
Covid-19 — Primary Series + Most Recent Booster (annually)
Varicella (Chickenpox) — 2 doses (prior illness does not exempt you from this series)
Recommend: Flu Vaccine
Last but not least is the Round Square required health insurance: we require that students use our boarding program health insurance, since it is extremely comprehensive and simple to use, as opposed to most health insurance systems in the United States. Essentially, we want to save you any bureaucratic hassle if your student needs medical care while here. It costs approximately $10 per day, and you will receive an invoice with instructions for how to wire the payment once you have filled out the insurance form on Magnus.
