The Educational Media Center and the Loyola Reading Club are one in their aim to promote literacy as an integral skill in life as well as advocating the joy of reading beyond the four walls of the classroom. A book drive has been one of the main activities of the Loyola Book Club now named the Loyola Reading Club. Adopting the EMC tag line of โRead for the fun of it,โ the book drive aims to adopt a school in dire need of reading resources. In this regard, the EMC and the LRC would want to continue this worthy cause to help schools build their own libraries with the books donated to them. Likewise, our librarians will help the school set-up the library and train the library personnel on how to maintain it.
This collaboration also endeavors to go beyond donating library materials and training library personnel. It aims to provide other learning needs, such as educational supplies, to its institution/s of choice.
Bring your donations (books, school supplies, learning materials, etc.) in dropboxes available in the library.
Write your name on the form provided to earn participation points for your cluster and section.
The Library Project will run from November 22-30, 2022.
