Sandra Lovenia
Assistant Professor, Department of Information Systems and Computer Science, Ateneo de Manila University
Sandra teaches I.T. Management courses, and is passionate in educating and empowering the next generation of leaders, professionals, and innovators in the fields of information technology, public service, health care, and business. She is a Lecturer the Ateneo Schools of Government, Medicine and Public Health, and Graduate School of Business.
Sandra is currently an Assistant Professor and Associate Chair at the Department of Information Systems and Computer Science, under the School of Science and Engineering.
She is also an IT Consultant, and was Central IT Director at Ateneo de Manila University. She holds ITIL® 4 and Google Educator Level 1 certifications.
Andjo Capellan

With over 20 years of IT experience, 12 years in Cybersecurity, Trusted advisor to CISO’s of the Top 100 corporations in the Philippines . A certified ISO 31000 Risk Manager, with specialization in Cybersecurity Architecture, Operations, and Policy. A graduate of the Ateneo De Manila University and a recipient of a Post-Graduate diploma from the IE Business School.
William Emmanuel S. Yu
Chief Technology Officer, Novare Inc.

William is a technology professional, professor, and researcher who is a passionate advocate of using technology to create better digital experiences. He is the Chief Technology Officer of Novare Technologies working on various projects involving digital transformation, elastic infrastructure, and end to end AGILE DevOps working with some of the country's largest organizations. He is an active technology advocate with organizations such as Secure Connections, the Internet Society, PH-CERT, and PPCRV. He is a teacher, at heart, and continues to lecture at the Ateneo de Manila University.
Angel Averia Jr.
President, Philippine Computer Emergency Response Team
Angel Averia Jr., commonly called Lito among friends and colleagues, is a seasoned information and communications technology (ICT) practitioner with over four decades of experience in the industry. He is an ICT consultant focusing on matters relating to cybersecurity, cybercrime, and personal information protection. Lito is a National Privacy Commission Certified Data Protection Officer and the President of the Philippine Computer Emergency Response Team. He is also a member of the ASEAN Japan Cybersecurity Community Alliance, the National Chairperson of the National Citizens’ Movement for Free Elections, and a Senior Adviser of the National Association of Data Privacy Officers of the Philippines. Lito is a member of ISOC-PH, a consultant with Secure Connections, and a member of the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group Advisory Group. Lito lobbied for the passage of ICT laws like the Data Privacy Act, the Cybercrime Prevention Act, and the DICT Act of 2015, among others. He was a resource person with the Philippine Supreme Court’s Sub-committee on E-Commerce, the UNODC’s Education for Justice Project and the Council of Europe’s Global Action against Cybercrime. He also served as lecturer at the Philippine Judicial Academy in partnership with the US DOJ OPDAT.
Adrian Dumanglas

Adrian is an accomplished network security consultant with over 20 years of experience in fortifying critical digital infrastructures against emerging threats. His previous roles at Sandvine, Nokia Siemens Networks, Sun Microsystems, and ePLDT provided him with extensive technical expertise and customer experience across various industries. As a Domain Consultant, Adrian serves as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor for network security. By leveraging his deep technical knowledge of Palo Alto Networks' products and solutions, he guides customers in understanding and addressing their unique security challenges. Adrian's unwavering dedication to staying updated on industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices ensures that customers receive the most relevant and effective cybersecurity guidance.
Atty. Laurice P. Esteban-Tuason
Senior Vice President and Corporate Compliance and Data Protection Officer of Converge Information and Communications Technology Solutions, Inc.
Atty. Laurice P. Esteban-Tuason role is pivotal in ensuring that Converge operates with the highest form of integrity, governance, and regulatory compliance.. Under her function, she leads initiatives on ethics and compliance, data privacy, process excellence, and governance. Most recently, she has also been tasked to head the sustainability efforts of Converge, managing the company's economic, environmental, social, and governance impact while also proactively aligning with global standards and policies to maximize value creation and sustainable growth. Atty. Laurice has over 15 years of corporate experience in the legal and compliance field. Part of her impactful career also includes working for reputable organizations like the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and ABS-CBN, where she built her well-rounded expertise on corporate, legal, banking, and financial institution compliance; anti-money laundering rulesand regulations; and data privacy. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Management from the Ateneo de Manila University, and her Juris Doctor degree from the Ateneo School of Law before being admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2007. To further contribute to the overall vision of Converge as one of the leading tech companies in the Philippines, she completed her Master in Cybersecurity with High Distinction at the Asian Institute of Management in 2024.

Maria Mercedes T. Rodrigo is a professor at the Department of Information Systems and Computer Science. She is the head of the Ateneo Laboratory for the Learning Sciences and co-head of the Ateneo Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Realty Laboratory. Her research work focuses on artificial intelligence in education, learning analytics, and educational games. Her current projects include virtual reality games for informal education and the use of LLMs for medical education. She is on the Executive Committee of the Artificial Intelligence Education Society. In 2021, Dr. Rodrigo received the Distinguished Researcher Award from the Asia-Pacific Society for Computers in Education (APSCE) and is President of APSCE.

A seasoned B2B cybersecurity leader, Bernice manages a portfolio of solutions and services for enterprise clients. She goes beyond management, actively developing new solutions from concept to launch, ensuring market fit and financial viability. Prior to this, Bernice's experience spanned business development and technology scouting. Roles at PLDT Innolab and as B2B consulting honed her ability to identify emerging technologies relevant to the telecom industry. Bernice's commitment to innovation is evident in her Bachelor of Science in Communications Technology Management from Ateneo de Manila University. This blend of technical expertise and business acumen positions her at the forefront of cybersecurity solutions.
Oscar Visaya

Oscar is an accomplished Sales and Technology leader with over 26 years of demonstrated success in the fields of Networking, Cyber Security, Application Delivery, Cloud, Telecommunications, Information Technology and Managed Services. He has worked with innovative companies like Cisco Systems and F5 Networks driving strategic partnerships, million-dollar opportunities and strategic customer engagements across different verticals, with a remarkable track record of top performance in every organization he has been a part of.
In Cisco his key achievements over 11 years include:
- Outstanding Systems Engineer for Asia Pacific in 1999
- Outstanding Systems Engineer for Asia in 2003
- Outstanding Systems Engineering Manager in 2005
- Elevated to CISCO Systems Engineer Wall of Fame in 2006

Jay Gomez
Field Chief Information Security Officer for Cybersecurity, Telstra International Limited
Jay has more than 29+ years of experience in Information Technology, information security & cybersecurity, BCP/DRP, Data Privacy, and consulting. He is currently a Field CISO for Cybersecurity at Telstra International Limited, based in Hong Kong. Prior to joining Telstra International, Jay was an Associate Managing Director at Kroll Associates (Asia) Limited, Cyber Risk Practice handling cybersecurity and data privacy advisory services in the APAC region. He was the former Head of Information Security and Data Protection Officer at ABS-CBN Corporation from 2016 to 2020 prior to relocating in Hong Kong. He held various technical, leadership, and management roles in several companies and industries throughout his career. He has globally recognized certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CDPSE and CIPM. He is an active member of ISACA Manila Chapter since 2010 and is currently a Board of Trustee. He is also member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals and ISC2 Philippines Chapter.
Susan Pancho-Festin, Ph.D
Professor, Department of Computer Science, UP Diliman

Susan Pancho-Festin is a Professor at the UP Diliman Department of Computer Science and is the current head of the Computer Security Laboratory. She obtained her PhD from Cambridge University, where she was part of the Security Group at the Computer Laboratory. Prior to this, she graduated from Royal Holloway University of London with an MSc in Information Security degree. Her research interests are in applied cryptography, security protocols, and secure software engineering.
Atty. Jamael Jacob
Director, University Data Protection Office, Ateneo de Manila University
Jam is a recognised authority in data protection, having now spent over 13 years in the field and 16 years practicing law. As the National Privacy Commission’s first-ever policy head, he was deeply involved in the drafting of the agency’s initial issuances, including the implementing rules of the Data Privacy Act of 2012. Today, he is the Data Protection Officer of the Ateneo de Manila University; the Executive Director of the advisory and research firm, the LIGHTS Institute; the Policy and Legal Advisor of the NGO, Foundation for Media Alternatives. He has degrees in Sociology and Law from the University of the Philippines, an LL.M from the University of Auckland, and he has taken the Summer Course on US-EU Privacy Law and Policy at the University of Amsterdam. He also holds various relevant certifications, including as Lead Implementer of Privacy Information Management Systems (ISO 27701), and Information Security Management Systems (ISO 27001). The International Association of Privacy Professionals regard him as a Fellow of Information Privacy, a credential given to individuals who have demonstrated a comprehensive knowledge of privacy laws, privacy program management and essential data protection practices.
