The Ateneo de Manila Junior High School Office of Admission and Scholarships (OAS) aims to facilitate the entry of students to the school. Application is an important part of any person's entry to any organization. The AJHS is the next step in a student's journey in the Basic Education.
The goals of the AJHS-OAS are as follows:
To facilitate and process applications, deliberations, and admission for incoming Grade 7 students.
To facilitate and process applications, deliberations, and admission for transferees to Grades 8 and 9.
To facilitate and process applications, deliberations, and awarding of grants to Financial Aid applicants.
To process the awarding of scholarship grants to public school students entering the AJHS.
The AJHS-OAS also facilitates the online application of students who wish to apply for entry to Grade 7, as well as transferees to Grades 8 and 9. Applications are monitored online and succeeding steps in the process (ending with deliberations) are also conducted by the office, along with the Admissions Committee. Online applications for entry to Grade 7 are usually conducted in October, while transferee applications are conducted in March.
The AJHS-OAS also facilitates applications for financial aid. It works with the Financial Aid Committee in deliberations and awarding of financial aid grants to applicants. Scholarship grants are also awarded to public school students through our partnership with Tulong-Dunong (TD) and Ateneo Center for Educational Development (ACED).
Mr. Francis Arthur O San Jose is the Coordinator of the Office of Admission and Scholarships. He is responsible for the recruitment and admission of students, and for administering the financial aid and scholarship program in the Junior High School with the help of the Committee on Admission and Scholarships.
